Most New Zealand organisations know they need to do something about AI. The challenge isn’t awareness — it’s knowing exactly what to do, in what order, and how to make it stick. The GenAI Training NZ AI Roadmap Workshop gives you a clear, practical plan built around your specific team, tools, and industry.
What the Roadmap Workshop Includes
The AI Roadmap Workshop is a structured 90-minute working session with Caelan Huntress, followed by a written Roadmap delivered within 5 business days.
The 90-Minute Working Session
This is a hands-on workshop — not a presentation. We work through four areas together:
- Current state: What AI tools is your team already using? What’s working, what isn’t, and where are the gaps?
- Use case mapping: Where in your workflows would AI have the highest impact? We map your top 5–8 opportunities against effort and value — live, in the session.
- Barriers and risks: What’s preventing faster adoption? Data privacy, compliance, culture, skills, or something else? We work through these practically.
- Prioritisation: You leave the session with a clear consensus on where to focus first — not a list of possibilities, but an agreed starting point.
The Written AI Roadmap
Delivered within 5 business days of the workshop. Your Roadmap includes:
- AI Readiness Snapshot — your organisation’s current position across five dimensions: awareness, adoption, data readiness, leadership alignment, and compliance posture
- Top 5 use cases — specific, prioritised AI opportunities for your organisation with estimated time and cost impact
- 90-day action plan — what to do in the first 30, 60, and 90 days, with clear ownership and sequencing
- Tool recommendations — which AI tools are right for your team, workflow, and risk profile
- Privacy and compliance notes — specific to your industry and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020
The 30-Day Check-In
A 30-minute follow-up call one month after delivery to review progress, answer questions, and adjust the roadmap based on what you’ve learned.
Who It’s For
The AI Roadmap Workshop is the right starting point if:
- Your organisation knows AI is important but hasn’t moved from experimentation to systematic adoption
- Leadership needs a credible, external view before committing to a training investment
- You’re in a regulated sector — legal, healthcare, finance, government — where compliance considerations need specific attention
- One or two individuals use AI but the rest of the team hasn’t started
- You’ve had an AI tool rolled out but adoption is patchy and results are inconsistent
The Investment
$1,500 + GST
This is the right starting point if you’re not yet sure what training you need, or if you want an independent view before investing in a team programme. Many clients use the Roadmap Workshop to build the internal case for training investment — the written Roadmap gives leadership a structured, evidence-based rationale they can present to their board or executive team.
What Happens After
Most clients move from the Roadmap Workshop to one of three next steps:
- In-house team training — a tailored workshop or programme for your whole team, built around the use cases identified in your Roadmap
- Public workshops — enrol one or two individuals to pilot the training before committing to a full team rollout
- Implementation support — ongoing AI coaching and advisory as you execute the 90-day plan
The Roadmap Workshop investment is fully credited against any subsequent team training booked within 90 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who should attend the workshop session?
Ideally 1–3 people: the decision-maker (CEO, GM, or department head) plus whoever will own AI implementation. Keeping the group small means the session stays focused and the roadmap is specific.
Is this delivered in person or online?
Both options are available. In-person delivery is available in Christchurch; online delivery is available for any New Zealand organisation. The output is identical regardless of format.
How is this different from a training workshop?
The AI Roadmap Workshop is a planning and diagnostic session — the output is a written roadmap for your organisation. Team training workshops build hands-on AI capability across your people. Most organisations do the Roadmap Workshop first, then use the findings to design the right training programme.
Can you help with the Privacy Act and AI compliance?
Yes — the Roadmap always includes a privacy and compliance section tailored to your industry and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. For regulated sectors (legal, healthcare, finance, government), this section goes into specific detail on your obligations and practical guardrails.
Do you help create an AI policy for our organisation?
Yes — AI policy for your NZ team can be included as an add-on to the Roadmap Workshop, or developed as part of a subsequent in-house training engagement.
