Who We Are
GenAI Training NZ was founded by Caelan Huntress, an AI trainer, keynote speaker, and educator based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Caelan has been training professionals in AI since 2023 and has worked with organisations across New Zealand in legal, healthcare, government, finance, and technology sectors.
Before becoming an AI trainer, Caelan spent a decade as a professional performer and digital marketer — which means our training is engaging, practical, and nothing like a corporate IT presentation. Participants consistently say it’s the most useful professional development session they’ve attended in years.
Our Philosophy
AI is an operator problem. The tools are already capable enough. The gap is in knowing how to use them — which prompts to write, which tools to use for which tasks, how to build workflows that compound over time. Training closes that gap.
Hands-on, not theoretical. Every session involves participants using AI on real tasks from their actual jobs. No slides-only presentations. No generic examples. You leave with prompts and techniques you’ll use on Monday morning.
New Zealand context. We understand the regulatory environment (Privacy Act 2020, Health Information Privacy Code, sector-specific compliance), the business culture, and the specific tools and workflows that NZ organisations use. Training is relevant to your context, not imported from US case studies.
